Our entire team are trade-qualified with extensive industry experience meaning we can provide the full gamut of services including system consultation and design, installation, inspections, maintenance and testing, as well as general electrical contracting.
The comprehensive experience of our team combined with the breadth of industries we service means you can trust our in-depth knowledge of both state and national regulations and legislation. Our genuine interest in our industry means we constantly stay informed and educated on any changing standards so that you don’t have to.
Beneath all the formalities, our team simply wants to provide you with accurate, honest and tailored fire prevention and protection. We are privately owned and family-run by Managing Director Joel Sharp and fellow Director Simone Sharp. Our carefully built team produces consistent and reliable outcomes for our clients which has led to an immense rate of client referrals that we are extremely proud of.
Rapidly growing to meet this space in the market, word about Joel’s diligent approach to prioritising client objectives and relationships coupled with ensuring availability and responsiveness spread throughout WA. His approach has now filtered through to a team of over 20 servicing hundreds of clients ranging from Crown Perth to the Water Corporation.

Joel Sharp
Managing Director
Joel founded FireShield with Simone in 2012. With his diligent approach to prioritising client objectives, and skills acquired from many years in the industry, FireShield’s growth was assured. With the business now well established, Joel enjoys mentoring his staff, and has become a trusted figure in the WA fire protection industry.
Richard Kofron
Wet Services Manager
Richard is a dual-trade Electrician and Mechanical fitter with 15 years of experience. With substantial QA/QC and condition monitoring experience, Richard leads our Wet Fire services division. He continually trains and mentors his team to ensure our clients receive the best service possible.
Genine North
Office Manager
With a background in accounting, Genine has been with FireShield since 2013. She has compiled a vast knowledge of the fire industry, and is adept in people management. No wonder she is now our very capable office manager.
Simone Sharp
Director
Simone founded FireShield with Joel after a career in real estate. This experience enabled FireShield to penetrate the commercial and residential sectors from the very beginning. Simone has worked in all areas of the business, but now focuses her attention on client management.
Damon Parsons
Service Manager
Damon was one of FireShield’s first apprentices. With a clear thirst for knowledge, he quickly moved up to become our service manager. Damon takes pride in his knowledge of industry standards, and has the ability to problem solve the most complex defects, all while leading his team.
Mark Hickey
Operations Manager
Mark commenced work in the fire industry in 2019. He has 16 years hydraulic experience and is constantly looking at ways he can grow his knowledge base. Mark prides himself on exceptional customer service and development of business relationships, along with mentoring younger staff.
Tom Willis
Technical Supervisor
Tom has over 10 years of experience as a service supervisor in the commercial property and heavy industrial sectors. He has worked in the commissioning and handover of dozens of large and small projects over the years including providing technical support for a global fire alarm manufacturer.
Lukasz Swietojanski
Business Consultant
Lukasz started in the fire industry in 2004, manufacturing fire panels. This technical knowledge is what secured his first role with FireShield, as a technical supervisor assisting with training. But never one to rest on his laurels, Lukasz is now playing a key role in obtaining new clients for FireShield.
