Boundaries 4 Bushfires

When the 2020 Bushfires sparked, we along with the rest of the nation were shocked by the devastation these fires caused. At least 33 lives were lost, including 4 firefighters, more than 11 million hectares burnt, people without food or water, struggling for shelter, along with all our poor wildlife enduring the brunt of the flames, we knew we had to help. Donations were made from FireShield Services to the Red Cross and WIRES to help our communities and do our part.

As the fires continued and more people were getting involved to do their part, there was another opportunity for us to support people in need through this hard time. Greg Hire put together an amazing T20 cricket match, with WA’s most recognisable sporting and media identities with 100% of proceeds going directly to the Bushfire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities and Wildlife Victoria.

Over $40,000 was raised and FireShield Services had the opportunity to donate 2x Langer’s Loft VIP tickets to one lucky winner in one of our Facebook competitions. Michael Hammersley was our winner and he enjoyed his night rubbing shoulders with WA’s biggest sports and media personalities at the WACA and enjoyed canapés and beverages on us. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the likes of Luke Shuey, Xavier Ellis, Courtney Bruce and many more, raise funds for the people affected by the bushfire crisis and we were honoured to have the pleasure to contribute to this great cause.

Cancer No Bueno

In 2017 FireShield Services partnered up and proudly support Cancer No Bueno in the donation of 2x $1000 cash prizes during the 100 Club.

About Cancer No Bueno

Established in 2014, Cancer No Bueno is dedicated to raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation. The Leukaemia Foundation is Australia’s peak body for blood cancer, funding research and providing free services to support people with Leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders, and their families.

Since its inaugural event in 2014, Cancer No Bueno has raised $140,000 for its nominated charity. After an overwhelming response and three sell-out events, the Cancer No Bueno Committee is excited to make this an annual affair.

NAR - Native Animal Rescue

3 billion Australian animals are killed or displaced by bushfires every year, and Native Animal Rescue (NAR) exists to assist in their rehabilitation.

FireShield is all about fire prevention, but when the worst does happen and fire is unavoidable, we like to do our bit to assist.

We have recently initiated an ongoing sponsorship of NAR so that their amazing work can continue, and we’ve committed to providing their ongoing fire protection services free of charge.

FireShield and our native wildlife salute you.
