Special Hazard Systems

Special Hazard Systems

A special hazard can be defined as a building, area, room or singular piece of equipment which holds a high value and needs its own measures of fire safety in place to protect it. Some examples of these may be buildings carrying ancient or valuable artefacts like museums and art galleries as well as rooms with important data information or servers, bank vaults, archives, chemical or processing plants, hospitals, aircraft hangers and manufacturing facilities.

Often, the usual combinations of fire sprinklers, hoses, doors and alarms may not be enough to prevent damage to a special hazard.

A Special Hazard Fire Protection System can be installed which may include:

  • Devices to detect a fire or a change in temperature sooner
  • Different agents to be used on the fire to work more efficiently such as clean agents, CO2 foam, inert gases, water mist, and dry chemical and hybrid systems

FireShield Services is dedicated to providing this higher level of protection for your business with ample experience in consulting and designing Special Hazard Systems. We also maintain and service these systems to offer you the highest protection of your most valuable assets, should a fire hazard occur.
